Women's Fund wins at Philanthropy New Zealand 2019 Awards.

Auckland Foundation and the Women's Fund has been recognised with the Vodafone Innovation in Grantmaking Award at the Philanthropy New Zealand 2019 Awards.

The award, which showcases an organisation that has successfully launched an innovative response to the challenges of being a great grantmaker, was announced at Parliament on Thursday 16 May.

Launched by Auckland Foundation in November 2017, the Women's Fund has generated 585 donations from 86 donors (as at March 2019). This has enabled one round of grantmaking with a gender lens so far, in which $20,000 was distributed to 10 women change makers.

A full list of the Award recipients can be found here.
