Migrant Investor Event

Earlier in November, Migrant Investor & Entrepreneur Association (MIEA), a not-for-profit organisation by migrants for migrants hosted an event at ANZ, co-hosted by Auckland Foundation and ANZ Private.

The theme for the event was looking at how migrants can contribute to philanthropic causes and make a positive impact in Aotearoa and more specifically in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland.

The event was a fantastic showing, with over 80 guests in attendance and a number of presentations.

Speakers included Auckland Foundation Ambassador, Sir Michael Jones; Chief Economist of ANZ Bank, Sharon Zollner; Investor Migrant Program Manager NZ Trade and Enterprise, Matt Hoskin; as well as Auckland Foundation Trustee, Kenneth Leong and Auckland Foundation donor, Robson Liang who both discussed their respective philanthropic journeys.
