Helen Clark - Auckland Foundation Ambassador

Auckland Foundation is proud to welcome Helen Clark ONZ SSI PC, as the first ambassador for our Foundation. With her vast experience and influence on economic, social, environmental, and cultural issues in Aotearoa, Clark is poised to help grow the impact of Auckland Foundation and bolster community reach.

We are extremely grateful to have Helen Clark's knowledge and ambassadorship to champion the growth of the Foundation and help us support those most in need across Tāmaki Makaurau.

At our recent dinner event, Helen Clark gave an exceptional speech in her first appearance as Auckland foundation ambassador. The speech absolutely captivated our guests and had them thinking about the role philanthropy plays in their lives and across our region.

She endorsed the community foundation model and using Auckland Foundation as a tool to drive philanthropy and support Auckland by filling the gaps that are otherwise unreachable. She also touched on the power of community philanthropy that she has seen internationally, and how we can look to global foundations and philanthropists for outstanding examples of how philanthropy can be harnessed and activated here in Tāmaki Makaurau.
