Grassroots Giving Fund 2024 Recipients

Grassroots organisations continue to be a crucial part in keeping our communities across Tāmaki Makaurau thriving.

The Grassroots Giving Programme supports Tāmaki Makaurau community groups and charitable organisations that prioritise whānau/families who experience multiple disadvantage across generations.

We would like to thank all of our Grassroots donors and the Tindall Foundation, who we are proud to be a Local Donation Manager for, for providing foundation and support that allows these important organisations to thrive.

Many thanks to the organisations who applied to the recent Auckland Foundation Grassroots Giving Fund granting round and congratulations to those who were successful!

We acknowledge that a lot of time and effort goes into applying for funding rounds such as this and we appreciate the energy invested in the submissions.

This year, Auckland Foundation is supporting 28 grassroots organisations. However, the Grassroots Giving Fund applications were oversubscribed by 78%, which is reflective of the difficult funding environment the sector is currently facing. Unfortunately, with this volume of applications, a number of incredible organisations have missed out.

We also received more ineligible applications than in any prior round, which is also a reflection of the difficulties of the current funding environment.
