If you find you have not used all the funds you received, we are happy to work with you to either transfer the remaining amount to another project/programme you are running, or alternatively you can return the grant to us. If you find you have surplus funds left, please get in touch with us at info@aucklandfoundation.org.nz.
The specific details on your grant will be outlined in your grant agreement. Generally, grants are for a period of 12 months. We understand that things change and not all projects may be completed in this time. Please let us know if there have been any changes to your project timeline at info@aucklandfoundation.org.nz.
Our grants will not attract GST by your organisation. If your organisation is GST registered, the grant will not cover the GST component of any purchase of goods or services. Please make sure you remove any GST (where applicable) when making your grant request, including from any budget you attach to your application. You will also need to make sure that your financial accountability is exclusive of GST.
To apply for a grant, please fill out and submit our online grants application form. When applying, we will need to know a few details about your organisation and what you are requesting funding for. Details we will ask for include:
- Charities Services or Incorporated Society Number (if applicable),
- Verified bank account details (e.g. bank deposit slip or screenshot of your account details),
- Annual accounts
- Programme/project details

No. These items will be deemed “retrospective”.
You will receive an email confirming that we have received your application. If you have not received this within 48 hours please let us know. It is your responsibility to ensure we have received your application.
Once we have received all applications for the grants rounds, we carefully conduct due diligence and ensure that each application is thoroughly reviewed. We have dedicated locally led panels for each grant, and these panels evaluate the applications based on the eligibility, fit with the criteria and programme/project outcomes. After the review process, the recommendations are approved off by Auckland Foundation's Trustees.
We understand that things can change, and are happy to work with you to either transfer the grant to another project/programme you are running, or alternatively you can return the grant to us. If your circumstances have changed, please touch base with us at info@aucklandfoundation.org.nz
