Resettling for ease and efficiency.

Auckland’s only symphonic choir, Auckland Choral has brought joy to music lovers young and old for more than a century.

And as one of the oldest arts organisations in the country, it was important to ensure the long-term future of the choir.

In 2005 – the choir’s 150th anniversary – the Auckland Choral Foundation was established; a charitable trust to support Auckland Choral through raising funds and building an endowment.

This endowment would be a sustainable source of income for the choir, as well as nurture young and emerging talent through scholarships.

However, the numerous responsibilities and time demands that come with managing a charitable trust soon became an issue.

After talking to Auckland Foundation about how we could help remove some of the administrative burden, the Auckland Choral Foundation resettled its endowment with us in 2014. With the administration, compliance and investment now taken care of, they are free to focus on promoting and supporting the choir.

Chair of Auckland Choral Foundation, Christine Keller-Smith, believes that this was absolutely the best thing to do.

“The Auckland Choral Foundation exists to preserve that superb choir, Auckland Choral, forever. It needs a significant endowment to do that."

“Putting our Fund with Auckland Foundation was the best decision. They invest it wisely with excellent returns, and have provided support, encouragement and practical, expert advice.”

“Being cared for under Auckland Foundation’s ‘umbrella’ has saved our small Auckland Choral Foundation charity a lot of time and stress.”

If you would like to support the Auckland Choral Foundation, or any of the funds under Auckland Foundation, you can make an online donation using our portal.
